IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES

Over the past few months, a dedicated task force comprised of representatives from both organizations has been diligently working on the details of a proposed merger. We are pleased to announce that the Board of Directors from both organizations has reviewed and approved the merger proposal as presented.

 

We have created a Merger timeline to provide you with important key dates to keep in mind and to ensure full transparency towards a smooth transition during the merger process.

 

Please note that the below dates are subject to change. This page will be updated to reflect if any changes to upcoming dates and times are made.

February 23: Official Announcement

  • The official merger annonucement is released to the memberships of both the East Valley Association of REALTORS® and the Inland Gateway Association of REALTORS®

  • A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document is released to both memberships, and can be found on the official website page.

February 23 - March 20: Group Meetings

  • Meetings will be arranged with Broker, Affiliates, and Past Presidents of both organizations to discuss the benefits and address any of their concerns

  • These may constitute office meetings or meetings held at either the EVAR Redlands and/or TIGAR Corona offices, based on scheduling
  • Official dates have yet to be scheduled; please revisit this page once meetings have been set

March 11 from 10 AM-12 PM: TIGAR Merger Town Hall

  • There will be an in-person Town Merger held at the TIGAR Corona office on Monday, March 11th from 10 AM to 12 PM.

  • This meeting is in-person only - there will not be a hybrid or online attendance option.

  • Only EVAR and TIGAR REALTOR® members may attend the Town Hall meeting.

  • This meeting will involve a presentation of the merger details, as well as address any membership concerns and answer any questions that may arise.

  • This is the first of two Merger Town Hall meetings scheduled for that day.

  • If you are an EVAR REALTOR® member and would like to attend the TIGAR Merger Town Hall, please contact the EVAR office at 909-792-4818 to register.

March 11 from 2 PM-4 PM: EVAR Merger Town Hall

  • There will be an in-person Town Merger held at the EVAR Redlands office on Monday, March 11th from 2 PM to 4 PM.

  • This meeting is in-person only - there will not be a hybrid or online attendance option.

  • Only EVAR and TIGAR REALTOR® members may attend the Town Hall meeting.

  • This meeting will involve a presentation of the merger details, as well as address any membership concerns and answer any questions that may arise.

  • This is the second of two Merger Town Hall meetings scheduled for that day.

  • If you are a TIGAR REALTOR® member and would like to attend the EVAR Merger Town Hall, please contact the TIGAR office at 951-735-5121 to register.

March 12 - March 20: Membership Input

  • Open channels will be open during this time period for feedback and suggestions from both organizations' memberships regarding the merger

  • A survey will be sent to members of both organizations for input and concerns

  • There will be an official notice before the vote based on organizations' Bylaws

March 21: Virtual Town Hall Meetings

Virtual Town Hall Meetings will occur only if necessary

  • Last chance virtual town hall meetings will be held

  • These additional town halls will occur only as necessary

March 21 - March 25: Merger Voting Period

  • The merger ballot will be open from March 21, 2024, beginning at 10 AM and will close on March 25, 2024, at 10 AM.  Your vote is crucial to the success of the merger.  Please be sure to participate and cast your vote during the election window. 

  • During the open voting period, all eligible active REALTOR® members of the East Valley Association of REALTORS® and the Inland Gateway Association of REALTORS® will be allowed to cast their vote regarding the merger

  • Membership will receive communication during this process on the voting methods and will receive staff support throughout the voting period

March 25: Merger Voting Announcement

  • The results of the merger vote will be announced to both memberships of the East Valley Association of REALTORS® and the Inland Gateway Association of REALTORS®

Post-Announcement: Next Steps Following Results

  • Next steps by both organizations will largely depend on the results of the merger voting process. Information relating to this will be released shortly following that time period.
